Family Health Isis 2010

Family Health Isis wants to welcome everyone into the New Year saying thank you to all our members and the support we received through 2009.

Introduction

The aim of the project is to provide an African Caribbean mental health centre to meet the needs of African/ African Caribbean people with mental health problems in the London Borough of Lewisham.

Isis Symbolises

• The empowerment of people to take control of their lives and future - nuturing and independance.
• The education of people to be more aware of the effects of mental ill health and to challenge all formsof oppression and ignorance that perpetuates stigma-wisdom.
• To encourage people of African/ African Caribbean descent to realise their potential and lead active and positive lives - power.
• To promote respect for individual's rights, dignity and humanity - caring and affirmation.
